Testing

UTTAM BHARAT is committed to manufacturing top-quality pad-mounted distribution transformers. Our dedication to excellence is evident in the rigorous testing we conduct to ensure compliance with the latest ANSI/IEEE standards (C57.12.00, ANSI C57.12.90, and ANSI C57.12.29).

Every transformer we produce is subjected to a comprehensive set of factory tests to verify its engineering integrity and ability to perform under rated load and real-world operational conditions. Each pad-mounted transformer must pass the following routine tests:

  1. Polarity and Phase-Relation Test
  2. Turns Ratio Test
  3. Full Wave Impulse Test
  4. Applied Voltage Test of HV and LV Winding
  5. Induced Overvoltage Test
  6. No-Load Loss and Excitation Current Test
  7. Resistance Measurements
  8. Load Loss and Impedance Voltage Test
  9. Tank Leak Test
  10. Wire Probe Test
  11. Audible Sound Level Test
  12. Temperature Rise Test
Our testing equipment is regularly calibrated by skilled technicians, and all calibration records are meticulously maintained in accordance with our quality system procedures. These procedures are annually audited by a third party to ensure compliance with ISO standards.

Quality Assurance

All electrical tests strictly comply with IEEE standards, guaranteeing consistent and reliable performance across all units. To ensure optimal functionality, we conduct additional tests, including:

Core Loop Loss and Excitation Current

Evaluating losses and current for efficient operation.

Core Coil Assembly Ratio and Polarity

Verifying coil accuracy and proper configuration.

Oil Properties

Assessing oil quality to ensure dielectric strength and thermal efficiency.

Leak Detection

Conducting multiple tests to identify and prevent any oil leaks.
