At Uttam, we have sophisticated imported core cutting machinery and separate area earmarked for core cutting, having a capacity of cutting and annealing 1500 MT p.a. of wound core type.
» | Unlike production of toroidal and cut cores, it does not require any fixed tooling, such as various jigs and mandrils. These laminations are fully formed when leaving the machine. |
» | For General Purpose Transformers, these cores have lower losses than cut cores or E&I and 90° Cut Laminations. |
» | Core assembly is very fast. |
» | For Distribution Transformers, this technology provides a highly flexible, accurate and reliable production system with all inherent advantages of wound core technology. |
» | Our cores can be produced from any grade of Grain Oriented Silicon Steel (GOSS) with thickness from 0.2 to 0.35 and strip width from 20 to 300 mm. Two strips can be run simultaneously when using less than 140 mm strip. |
» | Core faces can be straight butt, DUOcore, Distributed Gap or Uncut. Cores can be produced with 30°, 45° or 90° corners, depending on application. All these values can be easily specified and programmed |
1 | SLITTING: : CRGO Electrical steel comes in the form of wide coils having different widths which are then slit in required width. |
2 | CUTTING:: We use computerized version of Cut to Length Machines imported from the best of companies in order to produce Transformer Lamination Cores. These cores can be produced from any grade of Grain Oriented Silicon Steel (GOSS) with thickness from 0.2 to 0.35 and strip width from 20 to 300 mm. Two strips can be run simultaneously when using less than 140 mm strip. Core faces can be straight butt, DUOcore, Distributed GAP etc. This core can be produced with 30°, 45° or 90° corners. |
3 | ANNEALING: : The annealing process is done by ‘batch-type’ furnaces. The charge is piled with great care to ensure that the charge receives the maximum exposure to direct radiation from the heat source. Annealing is carried out at 820°C and proper care is taken to maintain the temperatures and proper temperature stepping is maintained to ensure the properties of the core. |
4 | TESTING:: Final Inspection of CRGO lamination for Manufacturing Tolerance as per international standards or as per customer requirements are complied with. Checking of core losses on the finished CRGO lamination and no load losses on CRGO built up cores are also checked before marking the product for delivery. |
5 | PACKING:: We are able to deliver CRGO lamination according to customers requirement – wooden box/pallets/others. |
